The procedure for reviewing articles

1. The editorial office notifies the authors within 7 days of receiving the article and sending it for review.

2. A reviewer is selected from among the members of the editorial board or leading specialists in the field of the proposed work.

3. The review period is determined by the editor-in-chief in each individual case, taking into account the need to ensure the fastest possible publication of the article.

4. The review covers the following issues:

- the article's content should be consistent with the topic stated in its title and the journal's profile;

- the article should be relevant (corresponding to the journal's priority scientific areas and current achievements in the field of fire safety);

- the article should be scientifically novel (original in its approach to solving research problems);

- the expediency of publishing the article, taking into account the coverage of this issue in the existing literature;

- the logicality, consistency, and coherence of the presentation of the material, the clarity of tables, diagrams, and drawings, and the correctness of the formulas;

- the assessment of the rigor and unambiguity of the conclusions, their adequacy to the main provisions of the article, and the theoretical and practical significance of the material;

- the quality of the design (compliance with the requirements of the editorial office);

 - the advantages and disadvantages of the article, as well as the recommended corrections and additions.

5. The reviewer provides an opinion on the possibility of publishing the article: "recommended", "recommended after correcting the shortcomings noted by the reviewer", or "not recommended".

6. Based on the results of the review, the editorial board makes a decision on the publication (or rejection) of the article, and informs the authors about it.

7. The article that requires revision based on the reviewer's comments is sent to the author. The deadline for making corrections is no more than one month.

8. The corrected article is sent for re-reviewing.

9. The article that is not recommended for publication by the reviewer is not accepted for re-consideration. The text of the negative review is sent to the author by e-mail, fax or regular mail.

10. The presence of a positive review submitted by the authors of the article is not a sufficient reason for its publication. The final decision on the expediency of publication is made by the editorial board.

11. The original reviews are kept in the editorial office of the scientific electronic journal "Technosphere Safety" for five years.

12. The editorial board confirms the provision of permanent storage of published scientific articles, their accessibility, and the submission of mandatory copies of the publication in accordance with the established procedure.
